passed the mot today don't have anything to compare it to but the emissions where really low and it's running on about 30% fresh veg oil with 100ml of mineral 2 stoke to quarter tank. did get a comment of 'nice smelling diesel' from one of the other mechanics lol

made some homemade bonnet pins from stainless bar, big washers and lynch pins as the rubbish from ebay was baaaaaaaaaaad

Last time I welded in rain, under a tarp, all was going well ..

When I woke up outside the tarp some while later I thought it best to give in .. though that could easily have also been the extension lead .. but I just don't do it now!

The grinder let some smoke out the other day but it's still working, so again, I ain't gonna chance it.

;)

I should add mines a small shipyard welder :p none of this fancy inverter bull**** just a big oil filled box of iron and copper :D

But I'd bet it was the extension lead not the welder ;)

Eventually got it insured, with A-Plan, and not a bad price, £236 compared to Swintons £600+. Just have to get it on the road now :)

Heheheh, yeah almost certainly the lead, but as I need the extension to use the welder ...

;)

Drove it, love it, waiting for the rain to stop need to change the drivers door lock using info from Landyzone. They reckon 1 - 1.5 hour, I reckon a bit longer being my first attempt.

then it was on to the custom intercooler n pipework... brackets made n all plumbed in with lots of shiny pipe :) apparently shiny pipe n silicone hose gets you a minimum 50 bhp according to the lads outside the co-op

Spent an hour with my mates hideously expensive steam cleaner. The engine bay looks lovely :) it's brought the wheels up well too. Gearbox and transfer box is much better but could have done with the Landy in the air really. Might have to borrow it again when I have a ramp.

Recovered my mate Krams300 (Mark) from where he left his truck up Whaddon the other day and changed a UJ on my front prop as it was on the way out.

Sold it :(

But got my scrapheap challenge (Bitsa) on the road, still a work in progress but its now my vehicle of choice :)

Renewed my tax on the V8 earlier!

For the fecking extortionate sum of 40 seconds of my life and £0  :p
