which bit ? the flywheel adaptor or the manifolds ?

Manifolds are just being hand cut, grinder, drill, file, hacksaw, do it the old fashioned way as theres no need to laser cut these at uni, its just an old carb motor

Adaptor will be turned on a lathe

Have to make exhaust manifolds as the will come forwards and then down and under, got some old manifolds/pipes etc but might have to start from scratch with eight steel plates with the pipes welded on to them if you know what I mean.
Its TVR Taimar chassis and rover V8 with Vittess gearbox so pipes wont go down but will have to go forwards:)

You can get a set of them on ebay for £200 second hand usually, be cheaper than making a new set I'd have thought.

It'd take a lot of work on my part to measure, cut, file etc or laser cut then tig everything together. I'm only doing it on the caddy engine because I want to :p and I need them!

Probably a good weekends worth of work in them, I don't expect to get much further than making the plates up tomorrow for inlet and exhaust. Don't think I'll bother touching the pipes until mid next week before we fit it at the weekend

I have no pipe bending facilities (only thick wall) so I will have to cut shut and weld, should be interesting:D

[MAP][/MAP]Took it laning today with my cousins vitara, had a few part victims. 1 smashed indicator, 2 o/s/f bump stop ripped off somehow, 3 n/s/r spring dislocated and ever since the rear end is very bouncey.

Had an embarrassing moment and had to be rescued by the vitara after getting stuck in a bog where one lane splits.

There was a lot of "you go first and if you break it I'll pull you out" "you go first your in the Landy" it was only after we went through I remembered it was salt water so, will have to get the pressure washer out tomorrow.

Nice pictures, thanks for sharing. I had a similar experience with my Defender. The back spring poped out. I wangled it back in and it still felt something wasn't quiet right. The shocker shaft had snapped inside the actual shocker so you couldn't see it. Had to replace the rear shockers.

Replaced the injector harness on my Disco, first time I've actually done anything that involved taking apart a bit of the engine so with nothing left over, no leaks and it running OK I'm actually quite chuffed with myself. :D

was going to try to get track rod bar off..............................but got one mother of hangover................so i'm sat in dark room watching telly !! :(

Thanks for that, definitely feels like its lacking damping. Will unbolt the shocks tomorrow and have a look.
