Just going to do some welding, well when I say DO that might be stretching the truth a bit :D

I am going to watch nrgserv do the welding, then next time it needs some he might let me try it :D

Fitted a mud console. Now all I need is a radio that doesn't pretend to be a nightclub to fit into it.

Only in a defender do you start an interior refinement with an angle grinder :)

Started to poke about a bit......bad idea.

Welded in the crossmember, removed the handbrake drum but couldn't get the cable off so taking a grinder to it tomorrow….

Need a new set of pads as they're covered in grease and I'll have to soak the drum in something to get rid of the grease on that too…..may as well see about renewing the output bearings too I suppose if its an easy enough job to do in situ

put mine up on stands in the garage so the tyres are off the floor and disconnencted the battery and covered it in sheets as i am having an op on my leg tomorrow and wont be driving it for at least 3 months maybe more :-(

Good luck with the op mate

Changed the temp sender for the (hopefully) correct one. Topped up the oil, well more like filled :( really should try and find out where its all going. Topped up front diff and one swivel ball and now I'm gonna take her a wee drive

Nothing for the last week, I've got over my Disco fever and find it so boring to drive. It's just sat in the garden for the last week looking very sorry for itself.
Considering its my only vehicle and means of transport I'd better go to the Doc and see why I'm feeling like this. There's nothing wrong with the Disco,
in fact it's a very good Disco... it's just soooooooo boring

I'm converting my Td5 90 from a tilt (which was originally a 90 CSW hard top) to a truck top, when it suddenly dawned on me that the bulkhead had been reduced by about 6 inches to let the seats go back further. Major issue... the truck top wouldn't bolt as there would be a huge gap across the tub....

I took it to RST on West Mersea and Richard gave me three options: 1. Try and stitch in a section that had been cut out of another 90. He offered it up and it would look ****e. 2. Try and fabricate a bulkhead out of checker plate.... that would look OK from the tub side but ****e from the cab side. The third option was he carefully removed the bulkhead off a damaged tub with heavy side impact and has installed that. It looks original and has done a fantastic job!! :D That's what I've done to my 90 today!! Looking forward to screwing the truck top on this weekend ready for the winter!! :D

or you could have just fitted another tub. :D :D

As said trolley jack or a load of Blocks add one to each end and keep adding until it's high enough to fit to the landy. :D

1) get a few bricks

2) lift one end onto a brick....now go to the other end and lift onto a brick

3) repeat 2 until it's high enough to drive the landy up to it so you can fit it ;)

Copy cat I already told her that :p

clearly yours was made of wood :p

and mine was made of superior brick ;)

far better than the straw idea by Gemsdad though :D

It's clear that your love of landys is following a very natural course and what you're feeling is not so much boredom with your disco but more an urge to get rid of it and progress to the next step...

Well thanks to Neil and Dean my Landy is now ready for its MOT 5 weeks early :D:D:D I wont have to worry about testing in November when Tong and the Wales trip are on :D:D

I didn't do the welding for the bumper, what a surprise :D But I did discover how to work the needle gun, so there wont be any rust on my Landy soon.
