Same, Halfords Ultimate. As for the side lights, again Halfords own.
They where either the Ultra Blue or the Laser Blue, I forget which. The colour difference didn't seem all that different during the day.
Haven't had chance to check them out at night yet.

Nightbreakers are the best..

Put my bike rack on. Went to thetford forest and had a good time ripping up some single track then washed the zaskar and the hippo!

Fit a BMW crankcase breather to the new FL, then removed and cleaned the mud from the trims at the back of the sills.
The off side ones were clean enough, but on both my cars the nearside were full of mud.
This is where the rot is going to set in on Hippos.
Only 3 screws to remove the trim, the wheel arch liner can be pulled away, then blather with Waxoyl after cleaning out.
Add checking this to your annual service jobs.

I ordered some Goodyear Wrangler AT/S 205/80 R16 S 8 ply.
Going to be delivered to the local garage and fitted on Wednesday.
Just in time for the winter!!!

Finally got round to putting my new badge on. - Thanks Sparky!

Thanks,
3 Dr is on start of his new life :) . Put new chrome 17" on spring, and custom lightbar from SES (if he will do it, as always said that i grumble)
5 dr is almost finished it will have new interior for about a month (can't wait) ,and winch of course :)

Stripped the front brakes to replace pads, realised I needed disks and put it all back together. At least I know the bolts and the sliders arnt seized...for once!

That will teach me for looking through the wheel at the brakes instead of taking the wheel off

Got my new tyres fitted today.
205/80/16, no rubbing on anything and 10mm clearance on the rear high level brake light.
Got to get a new rear wheel cover though!

New tyres fitted too; x5

Set of grabbers.

Can now hear myself think as well as some sort of growling noise from under the bonnet area. Should I be concerned? It gets louder when I press the right pedal????

Remove wheel spacers from the green one to put on the silver one when I do the brakes
Really need to fix my green one before I forget how it goes together....

Finally got the car back, new HG, all other gaskets, waterpump etc. runs great.
Also fitted the rear speakers (finally).
BUT, managed to tear off the aerial today, backing into my new (low) garage, and I'm missing an engine cover, must have fallen of at some point. It was only attached with a one of the three screws for easy access for the mechanic. Must have fallen of during transport to the garage. If anyone on Landyzone is breaking a car for parts, please PM me. :)
And before anyone comments, I'm not going to use the car until I have sourced a replacement.. ;)

EDIT: AND the three Amigos has returned.. After a quick diagnose it would seem that the rear left ABS sensor is not working. The car has been stationary for almost 4 months, so I'll try to clean it and check the connections before I order a new one.

The growling noise in my car is from the passenger seat. Either the Yorkshire Terrier or the girlfriend. Can't tell which growls loudest!!

Why? thats one of the symptoms of it being fecked?

Only just looked at this answer - you mean I got it completely arse about? I thought if you drove around for a bit (five miles) and it didn't heat up it was good?

Doesn't matter too much now cause I have a new GKN one and will be changing it very soon - as I don't know when or if it has ever been changed. Just a bit worried about my sanity if I got it that wrong.:lalala:

I suggest you read the article in the CFAQ section which tells you how they work. The viscous fluid thickens at about 100C.
This increase in temperature is due to the shearing action of the fluid. If it doesnt get hot, then it aint shearing - ergo the VCU is likely to be failing in the "open circuit" mode. Admitedly this increase in temp is localised and of short duration, even so there should be a noticeable rise in temperature.
