Were did you get those bottom fog lights. They look so clean. Ive ben wanting to get some but LED style type :)

The lower fog lamps are OE accessory lamps, they sometimes come up on eBay but usually in the bumper..

And the bonnet protector came off eBay as well! They are very rare to see fitted but are available new still.

Changed the fuel filter.

Caked every electrical fitting I could see in contact cleaner.

No obvious change in performance and still getting the weird idling/electrical crack issue. :whoosh:

New flip key off ebay.

The blank key that came with it wasnt usable for the early FL. So i had to cut out the shape from a copy i made of my original. Looks and feel a lot nicer then the original two button fob.

Fitted new front discs, calipers and pads as nsf piston was seized fully extended. Took a bit of effort to get the caliper off! Full set of silicon hoses, alisport egr removal, new air filter, turbo breather filter and BMW centrifugal crank breather also fitted. This evening I put on the new rear box from SES - lovely bit of kit.

Next weekend it's oil & filter, a/c cabin filter and rear brakes, plus I hope to be removing the rear seats and fitting the commercial floor and bulkhead I just nabbed on ebay.

Next month it's oversize At tyres and a lift kit, plus fitting my old synergy2 from a previous freelander I had.

I'm enjoying this so much I'm going to leave the XKR at home tomorrow and take the Freelander to work

Oh, and I took it for a blast along a couple of local greenlanes before giving it a christening in Moreton ford. She didn't float......

this is awesome.. :praise:

I for one would be interested in more details... ! is this something your average joe could do?

Not today but last week, drove around 1200 miles on holiday, with roof box and 3 passengers with luggage, did well! No problems! 38mpg!!! Happy with that!

Began to fabricate CAF to go beneath FLH wing. Shaped pipe and modified bracketry to hold it all in place.

I also had the same problem the key blade that came with it was no good so I took my spare key and fabricated it to fit works a treat and easier in the pocket , only downside is that you have to glue the casing together so not so good when the battery goes flat

Fitted DAP Rock SliderZ. Not an exact fit, but got them fitted with some healthy anger...

Took the 2 to the stealers to give them an opportunity to fix things they broke, and sort out a few niggles... ironically it has more problems that the supposedly unreliable FL1!!

- Got MOT pass after fitting 2x new front ARB links after the £19 a pair ebay jobs fell apart in 1500 miles.

- Replaced all brake pipes (was advisory on MOT) not a nice job but it's done now.

- Lost the former from the brake pipe flaring tool behind the headlight to had to take the front bumper off to retrieve it :-(

Ever had an issue of locating your cup holders while driving at night?? .... No more! Fitted some el wire inside cup holders that come on with side light :) ImageUploadedByTapatalk1407786943.328253.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1407786950.760995.jpg

Cleaned cylinder head today and reassembled it. Man those valve collets are fiddly wee things! Head is now ready to go on.

Made up my new CAF using 65mm PVC down pipe. It's behind the LH Wing. Checked fit with guard on - all good, and its about 40mm higher than original.
