Gonna spin the towball over and swap the electrics to tother side also job done..

Washed and Hoovered (thanks to the hand car wash). Checked all the levels, checked tyre pressures, torqued the wheel nuts, and loaded for tomorrow. :)

Fitted my silver and black landrover badge, tried to see if i could find my pile pressure switch, it's well hidden!

Checked all connections and pipes, seem to be a few pipes and tubes rubbing on plastic due to some broken clips, going to do what I can to fix them in place so no more rubbing!

While waiting for my gearbox to turn up. I have started on my "blackout" of the headlights. It would look better on projectors but the early headlights are much improved.. Pictures to follow on another thread.

My second headlight is in the oven as I type this!

Not today but last week the rear diff casing split and the diff crown wheel almost fell out when my wife was driving it ! My mate runs a 4 x 4 mostly Land Rover repair garage, and he replaced the diff for us. Today I replaced the 2 rear brake pipes to the rear brake cylinders as It's MOT is due next week and replaced the rear tyres for good 2nd hand Michelins.

Undid a bolt....

Then a nut....

Then I swore and crushed my finger.

Apparently I hadn't quite survived the absence of an alternater belt?

Edit- just realised I missed a valve off. That was closed aswell...

I use baby oil for all the outside trim and a sponge to put it on with its the best and at 99p it lasts a long time even after washing.

Took it to the Dales laning, took photos of it, ate fish n chips while sat on the edge of the boot, and didn't break it...I think!
Win.

Fitted a new drivers door inner window seal. Hopefully will stop some of the wind noise.

Then drove it to meet a guy to swap cars so my car can have new injectors fitted on Monday.

Finally fitted my 2" lift kit and I'm very happy with it, except for one thing that I found confusing. I purchased a pair of camber pins but all they seemed to do is make the camber more pronounced. After examination, it appears that with them adjusted with the least camber, it's the same as the standard bolts. Also there are lugs in the casting that prevent the camber being straightened up further. Am I missing something here?
