Just discovered that my passenger seat won't release to tip forward for access into the back. That's just confirmed what I'll be doing tomorrow then!

Yeah I had a quick look at the drivers side to see what's what. I was thinking about taking the seat out of the car to fettle with it, is that being excessive though?

if it snapped same place as mine there is even no need to take of the covers, I took of the covers of mine to understand how the cable worked and planning to swap for new part (I need to tilt seat on "school run" every day so that the girls, 6 and 8 years old, can get in/out of car without them standing in the middle of the street) went to parts store but they didn't had in stock so made temp fix and is working ok ever since.

Ok great. I'll have a look tomorrow. I've got two boys (6 & 7) that would have to do the same thing if I don't sort it. As the freelander won't be legal till the 14th of march I've got time to get it fixed

I left the seat in situ and just unclipped the upholstery at the bottom of the seat to have a good look. The cable had snapped but literally just where it used to join onto the metal 'hook'. The hook is missing so I think I'll just fashion a replacement out of a coat hanger and crimp it the the end of the cable. Simples

Broke down :(
My "I should really do that soon" alternator belt started flapping as I pulled on the motorway. I pulled onto the side and trimmed the flappy belt down and cruised down the road untill the next exit. The belt broke just before it and on went the heaters on full. I turned the engine off but had to drive a bit Into the services. Water was a bit warm so I quickly parked next to a tap and used an old bottle to put some cooler water in whilst I undid a hose into the radiator. I hope the cold water hasn't shocked it too much but I took a risk that it would be better than overheating.
Now siting In a truck stop with a hyper 5 year old awaiting assistance :)

Wired up the facelift master door window switch panel temporary today. Found out the the connector pins are mirrored on the RHD wiring loom. So fiddly job to to re-arrange for the LHD master switch panel. And to make it a little more difficult the 2004-2006 Rave circuit library schematic had an error (12V illuminaton is pin 1 on 0081 and not 0343, just in case anyone ever wonder). But finally made it work.

A little disappointed the drivers side switch "one touch" down is only working down and not up again.

And very happy that the switch panel has a "voltage step up converter circuit". I have always found the windows to be a little slow. But with 12V in and 22V out that is not a problem anymore. I am very easy to please :D

I thought the one touch only worked going down? Mine does...

Any specific car?

Back doors from a specific Rolls Royce(dont remember which, but possible everyone.) will work. There is a Bosch relay you also can use. I can source the specific info if youre interested when im home tomorrow if this is something you wanna do. I also had auto up and down on a 2006 Citroen Berlingo.

When I had my mondeo they only had one touch down windows, people were using a second relay to give one touch up... I will try and find the info and parts required.
