I've heard of a few cases where dealers have overwritten remapped ECU's if they haven't been made aware its had a remap but to be honest haven't heard this recently

Yeah its usually after a diagnostic plugin that it resets the ecu map, this can be at a dealer or specialist as they all use largely the same software and diagnostics

Ah okay. Yes heard of that before, but it has so far never happened to any of my remapped vehicles.

The guys who service my car are the ones doing the remap....... So shouldn't be a problem. Most reputable remapping companies will put the remap back FOC if a dealer has removed it.

The 2010 Skoda Yeti I had previously had a remap from 2000 miles and I sold it at 41,000 miles and the main dealer plugged it into his machine a few times for updates, but the remap was never overwritten. But they did know about it.

Fitted facelift door panel to my 99 L series. Starting to get ready to fit the 2003 black interior now. Also got most parts to fit 2006 double din console and have all the parts for rear facelift. Still need to source head, fog and driving lamps for the front. Got the lift kit from SES the other day so also need to get some new wheels and tires :D

That's a cool idea! How much did you get them for any more pics?

Today i replaced my propshaft bearings for some lovely gkn :)

No more grinding noise!!! Yay

No. The remap is enough for the auto. Don't want to destroy that :D

Once all okay I will sell all 3 items. Go towards the cost of the remap.

Hoping for around extra 32 Bhp and can't remember what the extra torque was. I really don't know why I went down the Ronbox route as I am a remap man.

Probably about the same as the Ronbox.

Care needs to be taken when remapping the engine. The Jatco box is designed to take 300NM of torque iirc. That's only 220 ftlb which doesn't seem much for a turbo diesel.

I bought a lot of facelift parts from one guy that was breaking a 06 cause of a accident. So maybe around £30-40 for each door(inc. switch panel+harness). I dont have any pics other than this. But i can do some pics when i do the other door.

Sure you need something bigger? I know of a nice white one!

Haha if I got another FL1 I'd have to do all the work again and sell my car as is :(

I really need a van to be honest, Freelander is good, but not really big enough

Now a Disco 3 Commercial on the other hand....

Theres not much diff between fl commercial and an older berlingo tbh i had one before this i wnet for the trailer option as mi vans mi car also..
