Picked the 99'er (Gladys) up from the dealership s'morning. New head gasket, new discs and a new lease of life for the 'ole girl as a consequence. She purred the whole 90 miles home, bless her. :)

Spent a chunk of money on a full service and new thermostat replacement. New diff bracket and antiroll linkages replaced too.

VCU and bearings on order from Bell's next week.

New sunroof and exped rack next on list..... :)

Today in my Freelander I let a slow puncture relieve most of the pressure out of one my tyres, resulting in the said tyre destroying itself and there's now metal poking out the side wall. Two new tyres required to fit my 18" Sport rims. Winner!

Just fitted my new crankcase breather, much better! Had a right PITA getting the airbox cover back on into place though :( much swearing was involved and eventually it got the hint

Fixed bulbs behind heater controls....On facelift yes the one where half the interior need taking out ... A bit of an exaggeration .
Easy to take apart but one of the bulbs need a huge pointy nose pliers to get too. All fine now !

Jobs done this week.
1. New powerfold OS Mirror
2. NS door lock actuator.
3. Heater control bulbs.

To go Discs and pads front tomoz.

Anyone know if mirror control button and head light level button should be illuminated on facelift model.

Today I fitted a new VCU and took my hippo off-road for a little spell of mud slugging.
Can't wait to do some more

Fitted a starter solenoid refurb kit from ebay......so far so good.

Changed the Crank Position Sensor. Now pulls like a train.

If we carry on sorting issues at this rate, I might even get some laning in this winter.

:D
