Oh and to get the fuel filter out of the plastic housing, If you have kids with a garden trampoline use the tool for installing the springs (hook with a handle bar on) make a hole in the filter and then put it between your feet and hook it straight out. Easy peasy!

Took a 180 mile round trip in order to return my 99'er to the deal for water loss issues, 'pulsing' brakes and a mapping blip (it increases its revs when in idle without touching the throttle) Got a courtesy vehicle -1.6 Astra- that goes like poop off a shovel when you hit its apparent rev-band (3000+ rpm) If I were tempted to drive it like I stole it then methinks I could have some fun with this nibble little family tool. Fortunately for the dealership, however, as a mature individual I've long since curtailed such behaviour...

...I ride motorcycles like I stole them instead as it focuses the mind, purifies the soul and exercises the instincts :hysterically_laughin

changed the centre section of the exhaust cos it was britpart and broke :(

replaced for free though :)

it was only 9 months old

after using a garden hose to find out how water came in and instead of spending £58,63 + VAT for ELD100671 - REAR DOOR WATER SHEDDER
1 thick bin bag and lots of silicone sealant, no more water in boot next winter

Pukka job...I have to respect somebody who thinks on their feet and produces a neat and tidy result in the execution of said thought.;)

Returned my 99'er to the dealership with water consumption issues despite the attention of an AA spanner Jockey who declared it pressurised and sound after finding a split in a heater hose. Turns out that she'd developed a head gasket issue (what a complete surprise!) somewhere along the way and is probably why (amongst other issues) she was sensibly offloaded via a part-ex arrangement by the previous owner who undoubtedly became suspicious of the fact that it required the water regularly topping up and consequently saw serious £££ signs floating before his/her eyes!
Happily the dealer has sorted it and Gladys will allegedly be ready for a 'drive away' this Saturday?
