Thanks for the advice on the Cooper's Thor, seem really good, although noisier above 50mph but i expected that!

Even gave it a wash to celebrate...

i just replaced the downpipe and it didn't come with one!

the old one had one, but fell off and jammed betwix the eggsauce and undertray making a loud rattle.
 
A couple more jobs and one I couldnt manage..

New Red Silicone Hoses all round..

Got some new bits to go on in its place,,but it wont budge..:mad:

Get it on axle stands to give some height and get a breaker bar on it, the extra leverage will help!

What did you do with the section on one of the intake pieces on the left hand side that has the wire going in to it? I cut my new silicone hoses to suit keeping it, but you've just got a straight hose with nowt in the middle...?!

I've got an aluminium heat shield that wraps around the front Prop CV joint, this is bolted onto the IRD using the same stud your new bracket is fitted to, presumably to stop the exhaust cooking the grease in the joint.

v6 produce more heat, but point taken ;)

I think if its there it needs to stay, mine was never there..
well not during my ownership anyhow..
 
Been Playing again,,

Replaced broken passengers side vent,
Replaced old Tax disc holder with smart black one,

Went to the tip 3 times to clear garden mess

Put Black Land Rover badges on, including the Freelander badge..

Went to local Garage to get nuts cracked,,
then I changed the old tow bar for a new one

I told the wife today and she agrees its a good idea..

Phew!!!
That's one lot of explaining I wont have to do.

Once I have them fitted I will just wait till something goes wrong
to spend some time on it,,
the Freelander is as we want it now..

Off roading is the next thing to convince the wife we should do..
Well some light green laning anyway..
