Took the F1 for the mutt's morning walk up the park, was great to get back in it after a week driving the F2 to work.

However, took the F2 out to 'The Willows' for her afternoon walk. Not been to the Willows before, its a fairly recent development about 15 miles from home out by the Waimak (river).

On the journey, I found that the F2 takes considerably less time and distance to overtake vehicles than the L Series!

I also determined that there must be some form of renaissance of F1 ownership. After seeing 1 parked up near home last week, I was right excited to see 1 pull up at the Willows, shall be going there more often in future :D

Gave the rear subframe and fuel tank cradle a ‘damn good thrashing’ with a wire brush before applying a rust cure product.
(Before applying some Lanoline next month perhaps)

Pampered but living in the wettest place in the uk aka the Lake District does keep the uv down
Its had a easy life tbh
Low owners and its been mopped with a machine polisher by myself
Still some marks close up but as long as its kept clean they disappear
Wheels have been done that makes a difference
Unfortunately the top coat is coming away on the window corner very minor but 😳
So probably paint some time to come

I'll challenge you on that being down here in Kernow!

I did mine during covid, and when I went back to work two or three people asked if I'd had a respray. I was pleased with that. It doesn't look quite so good now.

Sadly I took a bit of laquer off one of my doors pressure washing a while ago. I've prevented ot spreading with a strategically applied sticker, but a couple of other spots have appeared on the same pannel. A bit of paint for me too some time in the future I should imagine.

I made a gidjit for sucking power steering juice out the expansion tank so's I can replace it.

I don't know if it works yet. If it doesn't I'll refill the bottle and keep sucking.

How long did it take to drink did you have to stare at the bottle like a kid watching the washing-up liquid, saying “I want to make a spaceship thingamabob, when will it be empty”?

Not today but yesterday I locked myself out of it and ended up smashing a window to get in!

I still need to have the ignition switched on while it charges and as SWMBO and me were going for a walk I wanted to lock the doors. I thought I'd be smart and use the switch on the door card which in theory would only lock the passenger doors as the drivers door was open, then I could lock the drivers door with the spare key.
Unfortunately after slamming the drivers door I realised it was half way between being locked and unlocked and nothing I could do would persuade it to open.
Seemingly with the ignition on the remote doesn't work nor does the boot window opener so with the lock in limbo land I was stuck.
Thankfully I still have the test mule so once again it donated the required parts.
There may have been a better way but I had the spare window so it was the easy way out.

Bugger. At least you had a donor window at your disposal.

I'm going to try my fob with the key in the ignition next time I'm in it. In my mind I'm sure I've operated the locks with the fob whilst the key is in, but maybe not!
