Yeah it is, but from the couple I have seen it just needs cutting and folding down to the chassis rail. That's not really a lot, or is it?

It still catches! I had to cut the lip off completely, beat a dent in it, weld up the seam and it still caught so you then start modifying the arms! For the mot the steering gets cycled lock to lock on full droop to check for problems, steering components catching or rubbing would be a fail, so check it properly!

Yeah I will mate. If I have to, I will make some form of skid plate for it to slide over without knocking.

How is yours now? How much have you had to modify to get it so its passable on the MOT?

It can't touch at all! I swapped the arms side to side, the rod ends can't be swapped tho, then ground the knob off the track rod end which pokes down, then a little bit of tweaking to get the lock bolt to clear. I presume different kits will vary slightly so if its not quite as high it may be a bit easier! Don't forget camber bolts cos it screws it right up and they're scary to drive in the wet until you do them!

I have read some people have got away without camber bolts, are they really needed?

Mine was terrible, I drove it on its standard wheels in the wet and it scared me, the handling was truly awful, I put my big mud terrains on before the camber bolts, it did seem to improve it a bit but it still wasn't good, then with them fitted suddenly it was back to its old self pretty much, I've come across people that agree with me and some that think they're ok, I'm guessing they're the ones that can't tell the difference between a 2wd one and a 4wd one when you drive em! From my experience I'd always fit them
 
Time will tell. I will post photos on here once it's all back together tomorrow.

I don't mind buying the pins, but not going to if I don't need them.
 
I only fitted one per corner, you can still see that its out but it made it handle "normally"

i read a lot about it previously and not one turned out the same as another :confused:

some had to cut the inner wheel arch whilst some didn't.


it must be down to the driver cos the cars must be the same, shirley

That's what I think! I drive pretty hard and it just wouldn't do it, like mondo mode in the wet, I get terminal understeer but some reckon it makes no difference. I think they're potterers!!!!:D

i heated the drive in mondo :eek:

i was toying with the idea of fitting a 1" kit and fitting bigger tyres but may not bother :eek:

cam seal started leaking this week behind the coil, 2 minute job i know but if it carries on like this it's getting fook all :mad:

Lifted, minus pins - fooking deathly to drive was my experience. Chronic under steer:(

I don't get the mondo comment - mine handles just fine in mondo and the only mod is the 235/17's. Mind you, when I removed the lift kit, I had the 4 wheel alignment done to perfection but other than that just the wider tyres.
