Guessing you got yerself a bargain against main dealer price on that then!

Not got round to having a proper investigate yet, always seems to be raining when I want to go and do something on the car!

For reference, is an easy enough task to replace one?

No, it is not so easy. The fabric on top ( where your bum sits) creases they are held in place by metal rings as there are 3-4mm dia bars running though the foam. Getting them off is easy. The heating element is stuck on to the foam.so care may be needed if you have to remove your old one so as not to rip the foam. Getting the fabric back on is a bit of a wrestle. I used 2 long nose pliers. One to hold the ring in place and the other to close it. But the result well worth the effort. :) 🔥

So, the markers on the knobs are as bright as they are gonna be? Still prefer to the Tippex originals.

Is there a resistor in there? If there is measure it with a dvm! And fit fit open with a lower value, should brighten em up a bit

Bin the rings and use small cable ties instead.

Yes, that's an idea. Not sure but will check when have a moment but tbh this not top of list.

I reckon so, unless a brighter bulb can be sourced. As you say though, better than tippex!

fitted a teddywood 1 antenna bracket and fed the cable through to were the cb will be mounted!

and changed the oil separator for the bmw one.

thanks for the bracket eddie there brill !!!

regards lee
I've got one too and they're an excellent bit of kit. Needed to fit a CB for my Northants response stuff and this is by far the best way to mount the aerial.

I found my oil leak. It's the front rocker cover gasket.
When the fan cuts in, it helpfully sprays the oil all over the engine bay.

The gasket was changed a few months back by a local garage because they thought it could be leaking and causing a missfire. Well it bloomin is now!

And it never fixed the missfire :frusty:

mate any luck? did you try bench test of still no joy? p.s have you got car back might have a friend that acn help trailer hire and derv might get it home but you will have to talk to him lol:D

Haven't got it back yet mate, Diesel Do and I are going down with all his tools some time next week to have another crack at it. We've got a better idea of how we're going to tackle it once we have a new booster pump - as detailed in my other cooling discussion thread :).
