Replaced broken headlight mounting ring.
Replaced dodgy multi-function switch - no more headlights randomly going dark!
Replaced faulty electric window regulator & motor.
While replacing the regulator, noticed one of the door hinges was broken :(

Went out for what was supposed to be a round trip, half hour drive and a cup of tea/biscuit at the crumblies house. First Bit was fine, rattly but fault free drive and a nice biscuit (3 actually). Came to start up and head home with a cheery wave but…….nope. Immobiliser has errrm, immobilised the damn thing and no matter how many combinations of arm, disarm and Anglo-Saxon expletives will make it turnover….feck.

Now abandoned until tomorrow when I’ll return to the back of beyond with a new key fob battery, jumper pack and test meter etc. If all comes to nought them AA man can come and recover it to my local Indy……

Feck

Lets hope the new fob is the remedy and upon firing her up you can have that cup of celebratory tea with another biscuit and dunk with that contented feeling

Finally fitted the new battery and have a dual system back up and running. I also changed one of the wheels for the spare as it has a slow puncture. I should have that sorted before this coming weekends laning :)

Got a list of DIY and house jobs to do, courtesy of Mrs K. But if I get a few minutes, I’ll see if I can mount the hi-lift jack in the back of the 90. I’ve got one of the jack-rac kits (a steal at Newbury for £8 new!:D) but I’ve also got one of the clamp kits which don’t need holes drilling and is my preferred option...

How was Newbury? I didn't manage to get there but hope to go to the October one.

I didn’t go. I bought the kit two years ago (and it’s still in the garage...) I won’t go to the October one either. Mrs K is pregnant and not vaccinated so I’m trying to avoid crowds until she drops.

Next April, I’ll be there!

Got back to the abandoned oil sieve, put the key in first to see if it was still in a grump and….bingo! Fired up immediately!

Now the lottery of change fob and main battery and see if that prevents a reoccurrence- although I suspect dodgy spider at play…..

Nice cuppa though :)

Mines a got a coating which is like a black coating, is that the Dinitrol??
If it’s sticky black it might be Liqui Moly or Dinitrol ReGel - if it’s sticky brown when stuck on your hands it’s Hammerite Waxoyl. Hard black finish is usually (not always) Tetrasyl Schutz…..
