If the top down to the head gasket is free of oil leaks, timing case is free of oil leaks then it's only really oil filter housing, engine cooler pipes, lift pump and vacuum pump to look at.Meaning leave a bottle on it with some tape / ties?
I’ve cleaned the top of the engine 3/4 weeks ago and it hasn’t gotten any dirtier.
I’ll give the underside a spray with some cleaner and give it a jet wash at the local garage.
Stick the breather pipe onto the inner wheel arch out of the way for now while leak chasing.
Diesel leaks checking I wrap some blue roll around the suspect joints, drive around a while, it shows any leaks quite well.
