It could be a NAS thing again.

NAS vehicles do have things called sidemarkers, solid lights.
I reckon that would fall foul of the UK regs, if I get bored I might have a mooch around for them, but then not realy that bothered.LOL.

Replaced the injector loom, and rocker gasket. Simple job, and done in 45 mins, with no issues, no gasket sealer and no pain... didnt solve my lack of power below 2000 revs though...

Still, found I now have a leak of steering fluid, from the steering box I think.. that empties half of the fluid within an hour of driving.. I feel a thread coming on.
 
Got rid of my parts motor :D

Did some maths:
Veh: Manual '03 D2
Trip: N.Yorks to Falmouth return
Southbound, on Supermarket fuel: 417 miles, 62.18 litres = 30.49mpg
Northbound, on Shell V-Power fuel: 417miles, 59.55 litres = 31.83mpg
 
I found an amazing eBay deal for 4 sealed NTK 25623 upstream O2 sensors. I know I need 2 upstream sensors for my Disco 2 V8 but they were a package deal.

Replaced the output seals on the steering box today. Left the box in situ, and loosened off the four bolts, so it could get a puller on... Had to whack the be'jesus out of the arm to get it off... All done now, and no leaks... replaced the serpentine belt and drained and refilled the front axle, as I was dirty...

Just wondering what to do next... Got so many things that need sorting out.
 
Drove it for the first time in a week. Been skooting around in my Lemon C2 for several days.
Although the Disco is slower, has heavier steering and is much noisier, it's a much nicer car to drive. :)

This is all I needed my egrs and pipes are still all there only want to blank them off BUT as this is a D3 it needs the swirl flap removed as well.
Yes made a huge difference it now pulls out of junctions from low down in the rev range instead of surging and flying off at over 2500 revs. Have reset the trip will report back on mpg in a week as this was down as well.
All typical d3 egr symptoms
 
Replaced the fog lamps on the D3, both of which had leaked and were corroded/misted.
A 5min job!


Washed it, which took ages - next time it’s the local Romanians....
 
Drove it to work and home again ...........just spent 1800 quid getting it through MOT. 2 new front tyres, lower arm bushes all round and one ball joint needed replacing. A few advisories to start on after Christmas, although I sorted one at the weekend........... new wipers lol
