Got half shaft seal done at garage £85 needles to say that won’t happen again me being lazy. New set off black wheel nuts coming plus full service the weekend.

Finally got around to fitting a split charge system! Ordered the battery tray from Devon 4x4 yesterday and set about getting the t-max kit I got a few months ago from on here fitted and just as I got to the point of going no further until the try arrived, FedEx pulled up with it!
Got a battery from Halfords and now all fitted and functioning.

Despite no obvious symptoms I thought I would remove the ECU and inspect the infamous injection harness for oil, I know from the service paperwork that the harness and oils seal were replaced four years/20k miles ago.. however, the plug and socket pins were wet with oil. Thorough clean with carb cleaner and elec contact cleaner to buy time but I'll monitor it and put a new harness and seal on my shopping list.

I've made the most of this warm spell in totally undersealing my Emily (discovery 1 v8 es) and doing some welding around the rear wheel arches. So the bad **** can come now as she is totally protected underneath.

I finally put my multimeter to work on the contact wires for my dashboard clock...and to my surprise got a respectable reading of 11.35 volts. I was surprised, because when I originally got the Disco I thought that I'd checked and found that the bulb was okay, so for the last 2.5yrs I've suspected a wiring fault (so I've always managed without a light, because it all seemed like too much faff to sort).
However, on sticking the bulb under a magnifier (it's sooo small and my eyesight is not what it used to be) I've now found that the filament has actually become detached from its pole at one end!!! o_O
New bulb ordered and...what with the new clutch going in tomorrow...this may be a good week for finally sorting some frustrating niggles.
Why do I not just do even the smallest things right first time? :(

Bought it a heated seat cover thing as mine doesn't have the heater elements.
Haven't had a chance to fit it yet, but hopefully it'll take chill off the leather in the mornings.
