Don't do it mate FFS. Bits will fly off everywhere. Buy or borrow the tool. How do you compress the springs without a spring compressor to get the collets out?

Had that problem taking a steering relay apart! Springs can travel a long wayDon't do it mate FFS. Bits will fly off everywhere. Buy or borrow the tool.
Short runs and condensation will be the milky stuff in the cap Kermie unless of course its the start of the dreaded mixing of fluids syndrome.Ok some progress..
Start up from cold.. missing, can smell petrol in exhaust.. clears up after a minute.. no puff of blue smoke to suggest dodgy stem seals
Take air intake pipe off and there's oil behind the butterfly! Not a lot. The rocker breather hole is a bit milky, not noticed that before.. the breather on the other side is clear. Oil and coolant are both ok and no signs of mixing.
I'm determined to do this HG!!
It pays these days to have the windows tinted with film so if they do crack/break at least the window stays togeather as a whole piece.Whole tailgate is £50-£100 depending on delivery requirements. Loads around could even match the colour for that price I reckon
It's only the one side which i fear is dodgy, other side is clean.Short runs and condensation will be the milky stuff in the cap Kermie unless of course its the start of the dreaded mixing of fluids syndrome.
Don't think I've mentioned but looking for an excuse to take the head off, i do like a giggleIt's only the one side which i fear is dodgy, other side is clean.

I got insurance to start the claim. Should just have to pay excess now, but I'll give him a bell if they won't pay for the glass. Thanks.Ring William in Lincoln. +447903 167575.
A cool video by Harrys garage.
Apart from the 3000 stall converter and the hideous suspension it is quite a nice motor.
Oh and the price!!!
You are telling this to the man that booted out his own windscreen on purposeIt pays these days to have the windows tinted with film so if they do crack/break at least the window stays togeather as a whole piece.
I've done that, in a taxi, but we were on our side.Fog lights are different to driving lights or ‘day’ lights.

I've always had good service from Foundary 4x4 .Bit of investigation today. Spills are totally shot surprised it’s not drinking like a 4.6. Some aren’t split just so slack you can slip them on and off. Tried to ziptie them up for now but that’s only minimising the loss.
Took the oil leaky front cam plate off RTV and refit.
Eventually managed to persuade the viscous fan off. Also totally shot can see swarf coming from out of the rear part of the bearing and takes huge force to turn it, but it does turn? Ruined paint job on my damper fulcrum in process can’t find my E36 spare so s**t load of coppaslip and gently put back on for now.
Bit the bullet and bought the new fan. Went over to pick it up at foundry. They said they’ve sent me an email saying I can pick it up tomorrow. Let’s hope I get the email with the delivery code on it by tomorrow. There are some cracking Landys around those parts will try take pics for us tomorrow. Few DTs hidden round the back too was like finding porn they were all mossy and wet.
But the fashion is a bit suspect, all I could see was a pair of boots, can't see the legs.I've done that, in a taxi, but we were on our side.
To be fair, that does look like a Land Rover approved technique
None of us can see his legs Alan...they're successfully camouflaged! But the fashion is a bit suspect, all I could see was a pair of boots, can't see the legs.

Get some Gates pipe Jack 3.2mm I.D thick walled and tight as Scotsman/ Yorkshire woman's offspring.no need for shrink wrap or cable ties. I had to ease the pipe by pushing a pair of long nosed pliers into it and quickly putting it on the nipple before it tightened up. I checked the other day and all dry.Bit of investigation today.
