Finally got the connectors in the driver's side kick panel removed and all wires soldered together for that to also not make any difference. So after spending a small fortune on this, having replaced or had components refurbished all I am left with is seeing if I can get power to the 4 pins for the instrument cluster lights to come on whenever I turn the park lights on because something somewhere isn't working right and doesn't want to do so ever again it seems.
So what started with a supposed starter motor fault (bought but not changed because it turns out it was 100% fine. Experts.................huh) back in June has ended up being a faulty air compressor that has caused all sorts of electrical issues resulting in pulling the dash to pieces many, many, many times over and the better part of £1,000 spent on it all to no avail including new compressor, new fusebox and fuses (100% of them), the BECM refurbished and several other things done along the way.
Hopefully that works and I can get the car through its MOT in February and I'll work from there come spring. Hey, there is one positive though. No more coolant leak (separate issue altogether). So I did have at least 1 win hahaha

Cheers folks

Craig

Today's outing:
Drove my 1988 Range Rover (which has a 200TDI dropped in it) about an hour up the road.
Stopped off at a farm, had a poke around, and bought half a 1982 V8 Range Rover. It's all there, but it's shared with my brother.
Pictures to follow once we've picked it up later this week!

Should have towed it straight to the scrap yard.;):D
While part of me would like to agree I have to bear in mind the four post ramp, tyre changer and wheel balancing kit in his work shop all of which I have use of lol, got to say I have driven the J--P couple of times (paper bag on head of course ) before that gearbox went bang its a really smooth change, best thing about it really.
