I've got a small screwdriver down between the outer case of the sensor and the spring/cage thing, at several points.
All I'm doing is mangling it further.. need some needle nose grips to give it a firm tug. Can't really see what's holding it in place really. It's dark, cold and trying to rain now so I've given up.
Who thought it would be a full weekend to replace an abs sensor!?

It's the rust that's holding it, just another piece of BMW bad design. If the bush in the hub had been made of Brass or stainless there would be no problem

I hope so.

Broke every single ****ing clip trying to get the trim off under the passenger airbag. Not sure what to do about that. Maybe Araldite the damn pins back on in the absence of a TIG welder.

Got the bastid out!! And found, as i suspected, it was ok.
The problem? Cracked reluctor ring :( is that a whole new hub i need? :'(
