Yep mine is a daimler albeit a 3.6 a nice car but being well north of 6ft it is tight especially for my right knee which if i'm not careful gets trapped between the door and steering wheel.

My S type is far more comfortable much more seat adjustment available.

Trading an X308 for a Bentley would of in my mind been a bit of a downgrade, a chap I knew from work traded his 2001 super v8 for a Turbo R, much slower and not nearly as composed on the road, I drove it and made the mistake of driving it like a jag and the experience was odd, it felt like you had to wait for the car to catch up with you around corners, very soft and boat like but oddly no better in the comfort department than the Jag and again there was no head room, none!
Well unless the seat back was reclined to an almost absurd degree.
Yes i get what your saying but my Bentley RT Mulliner was a very special car indeed and super fast 420 BHP model and comfy as hell.

Hell of a lot of weight compared to the Jag.
 
Crimping, soooo much crimping! Had EAS error message pop up a couple of times, but only the soft error. So my dad @Mark Piercy said to look at the plugs in the driver's side footwell, the passenger side ones had been done so that ruled that out. Turns out the common leak from the cabin filter had been dripping onto the plugs, pooling and then trickling down the wires and that made them corrode rather badly.
So I spent ALL yesterday afternoon crimping 27 bloody wires to their corresponding counterparts so no more green corroded plugs. The error still popped up again though...the left rear sensor seems to be out of range so gonna swap it with the other one to rule out my crimping.
You can also solder them but I'm not entirely adept with that so I decided to crimp, which isn't the best methode but works :)
The other side had caused massive power drain and the rear LH door speakers to squeak and buzz when the BECM and radio were activated. So don't forget to do some preventative crimping or soldering in that region

Back in those days Alan sexual favours were rife mate to get places. It was not uncommon for the WRAC to offer her services freely to get on. LOL.

Sexual favours don't get anything nowadays. Hence why I still don't have a new set of brakes...

I’ve been too ill to make real progress as I usually would but it’s on the cards. sorted few niggles needed for MOT, got to work out what’s up with 1 headlight, I’d like to fit new pads to the front for peace of mind, insurance and windscreen (this is the one that bothers me), oil and filter change, rear tyre is leaking at the bead so if It can’t be saved that’s 2 giant tyres to replace
Before I can get it mot’d then taxed :oops:
If there’s anything left of the budget I may get a £35 lift pump jobby just to see if it works
 
Symptoms - no lights come on drivers side headlamp only, That’s the main and high beam in one. Connectors grotted up most likely all other electrics function correctly

When you mentioned crimping I thought you had got a Gaylander.:eek::D:D
 
Not much happening today while it's tipping down!!
Been trying to find out about about the front hub/swivel assembly but can't see anything in rave under steering or axles :( any pointers for speed people like me?

That's the ball-joints that need the alignment tool unless you're careful taking them off. The ones that can only be done 3 times.
