Well being " enlisted filth " myself and if she is an LE then from what i have been told and read she should know bloody better. Its the DE's that were the main problem albeit you did get many LE power crazy knobs too. I think they invented the RMP especially for those types. LOL. We have one local to us who still thinks he is a copper but never was and walks and drives around with a yellow hi-viz jacket on all the time. Weirdo. Some folk just cant let go.
Funny that,when we were on good terms she recounted that her first posting was to Germany and she was appointed as duty driver the first night. Chauffeured about by a Rupert unless there was a lot of back stabbing for promotion.

Back in those days Alan sexual favours were rife mate to get places. It was not uncommon for the WRAC to offer her services freely to get on. LOL.

There were some nice ones and they were mostly stewardesses and clerks. The horror pigs were usually sent to the MT as drivers. LOL

My first one was an XJ40 Daimler. Beautiful car and i used to show it at the J.E.C shows over a 6 year period of ownership. My second was a 1999 - V ( Steel lined bores ) Super V8 which had the 2 electric executive rear seats and full centre console. Lovely car, very fast. Had that for about 2 years and traded it in on my Bentley RT Mulliner.

ordered the one with the exposed pipework, turned up this morning!! but its not the one in the pic, its the one with the black strips on either side, 'like it should be'.
its in perfect condition and the holes line up!! not a single bent fin.. i'll soon sort that out ;)

Not a single bent fin. Soon fix that. Want to borrow one of my hammers:D:D
 
Plastic bits slid on the sides?
They don’t come with the rad, not all p38s have them. Wammers always said they were important for the way air flows. I don’t have them.
 
Remember someone here having trouble finding a replacement.
I have the cowl that’s the main bit. A lot broke off in the roll. I still don’t have a battery box it’s strapped in. Don’t think the flaps were there in beginning on mine though.

Mine were missing when I got it. Cannot recall where I got replacements but probably Rimmer Bros.

Yep mine is a daimler albeit a 3.6 a nice car but being well north of 6ft it is tight especially for my right knee which if i'm not careful gets trapped between the door and steering wheel.

My S type is far more comfortable much more seat adjustment available.

Trading an X308 for a Bentley would of in my mind been a bit of a downgrade, a chap I knew from work traded his 2001 super v8 for a Turbo R, much slower and not nearly as composed on the road, I drove it and made the mistake of driving it like a jag and the experience was odd, it felt like you had to wait for the car to catch up with you around corners, very soft and boat like but oddly no better in the comfort department than the Jag and again there was no head room, none!
Well unless the seat back was reclined to an almost absurd degree.
