I've PM'd him.

He's on another forum see this thread, this is the car in question it is the red one not the forelorn blue one in the beginning! here https://rangerovers.pub/topic/503-2002-vogue-se-restoration-thread?page=8#pid28555
Cheers mate but its not for me as its been LPG'd and has a big dent/lift lump in the rear bumper. WTF lpg installers put the filler on the side of the cars panel i will never know especially when the P38 has 2 x perfectly usable holes in the bottom of the rear bumper for an LPG filler.

Cheers anyway.

Yes agree about the lpg filler. Not the end of the world though!!
The bumper is replaceable though

Went to get something from the RR today and key fob not working, spare works fine. On checking batteries in fob one ok other dead. This has happened twice now over past 12 months with both fobs. All batteries were brand new Duracell's with expiry date 2009. Is it just sh*te batteries these days or some thing else?

Ok.

Worth a try though!

The lump in the bumper is just the plastic and easy to rectify, the hole in the rear wing is also fixable..

A great motor though! ;)

A bit of polish and all is right with the world! Just don't look too closely or you'll see the rusty bonnet:p

Had a useful day where I got around to restoring the Window buttons in the centre console.
Less than an hour and all the windows now work perfectly.
Next job is the front locks - although rather than just replacing them, I've decided to replace the motors and look to reduce the power in the RF.
Just waiting for some motors to be delivered from ebay - that's next weeks job sorted!

I thought that was just indicating to use 1 for downhill just as you would in a series motor. Does it engage the brakes/abs too?
I know when I've gone down a particularly steep slope with no brakes engaged at all, the engine will adhere and if its over run at all something will nip up the over run and keep it on check. I may be wrong but it works a bloody treat. :D

I've not found any hills to go down in low box yet. Does you have the hdc module fitted? :p
