Went down to see @martyuk. Marty has got my foglights working! Corroded connectors, a dodgy earth wire (replaced) and a cloned BECM later and he's sorted it all. Cracking stuff. And as a bonus I now have a spare BECM with all my settings in case the current one goes.

Another bonus: I got to see the Faultmate in action. What a marvellous bit of kit that is. Fascinating as always listening to Marty explain the inner workings. Great day. Pity I was so hung-over from last night!
That sounds like my sort of day! I'll be receiving some presents from @martyuk soon hopefully.

Mot'd it and yes it failed on eight things which was way better than a thought it would be :p
I've bought a replacement front axle which'cancel out five, the back seat wouldn't lock in position, air bag light is on and a bald tyre. So it has been reprieved from the scrappers to live another day :D
I also used an entire packet of baby wipes cleaning the seats and dashboard.

:)

Nice colour. Back seat sometimes needs a wiggle side to side at the latch before it clips in.

Took her out yesterday for first proper drive since alloys were done. Had noticed on Sunday o/s/r and o/s/f tyres had been swapped. Forgot about it until driving yesterday. The vibration showed it's not just the tyres, stupid gits have put wheels on wrong corner. So phoned and explained. Rather than apologise and say bring it in as soon as possible, they start making excuses, about the tyres are marked so the guys put on tyres right wheels, so that can't happen. So explain I don't care if you have a system , it's failed! So off she goes to speak to boss and comes back , not with 'we are sorry, we will sort it at your earliest convenience'. Nooooo..... instead she says " we can do it after half three any day, as we need the ramps until then, and he says he'll do it free of charge." Too right you won't charge me, was my reply.
So for those in the South West of Scotland, all I can say is, after them screwing up when I could have my car back, thus screwing up my plans for two days, then making out it was my mistake. Together with getting my wheels on the wrong axle and trying , again, to make out I was wrong. I have nothing good to say about customer service, or the owner at Carrick Alloys of Prestwick and wouldn't use them again if they paid me.

WHY.....
am I reminded of a Top Gear episode involving prostitute DNA and nasal pickings?:(

Barrrrff!
Fancy a pint of vax liquor :D

Took it for it's mot!
Passes.
He noted the abs lamp... I reminded him that two years ago I explained how it worked....once again he couldn't shut the bonnet... Or set it up on the rolling road. Or get to grips with the abs trying to defeat the rolling road... Funny as hell. It did pass only to have the near side headlamp set a bit low... :p;)
