It was a SS 4x4 cosworth but since I was a kid they wouldn’t let me have a go. They did let me try the 2.something Granada with a 4 speed box. Made a RR seem clostraphobic

And the Capri which was a 1.4/6 laser, just pitty it wasn’t RWD

My 2nd car was a ****box Escort D. Little did I know the wheels were RS500 alloys. Came back one day they were gone
They did leave me 8 nice bricks though

Was worse than that - the police found me and told me if it fell on someone I’d be culpable so I had to shift it then and there, which cost when you can’t tow the *******

I thought all the Capris were rear wheel drive? My brother had the 2.8 Granada - that burnt a silly amount of fuel. Knew a guy who had the Ford Cosworth Sierra - he raced Porches for a hobby. Another mate had an old Mk 3 Cortina which was started with a 5 pence piece. That was a heavy lump of a car but fun with skinny tyres in the wet.
