The plastic part can be detached and replaced. Cannot remember if his is colour-coded or black.

Sunroof has been sticking and squeaking, and there is a fair bit o **** on it!

Cleaned off the seal! with some WD40!

Then a good dose of Vinyl and rubber care.

Looking better!

Next were the rails which were so dry the paint has been worn off the rails!!

Splodged some of this on there!!

Much better!

Gotta love a Sunroof

Hi Henry b have you checked that your sunroof glass is actually bonded to the frame as when I did the headlining on mine I also took the complete sunroof assembly out to refurb the sliding cover and found that the glass was only held in by about 6 inch of bond on the front edge. The frame had rusted between the bonding and the glass so the glass came away with the bonding and the rust.

My casette is pretty crusty TBF i have a "new one" in the shed.

Somewhere.

Will have to fit it when the headliner comes out

you opened the sun roof now that is just asking for trouble you never open a p38 sunroof it will leak fall apart stick or the liner will come of the cover

Used it to offload a bunch of stuff I was going to bin to a charity shop. Took the dog to the vets (he really doesn't like being in a cage in the boot), although mostly because he is a drama queen.

Only went for his second round of jabs, originally went on Monday but they'd run out. He is getting there behaviour wise. Just need to get him used to travelling in the bus now.
