Fitted replacement brake caliper carrier so she is ready to go back for her retest.
I've been thinking about high emisions could the fact tiny is fitted with lpg thus timing could have been adjusted so cause my prob?

On LPG the ECU controlling it should advance the timing beyond that needed for petrol running as LPG takes a lot longer to burn. On the way to the test station get it properly warm, low gears higher RPMs blow the sht out.

I was working on the assumption that if it was fitted ad didn't work they would ask questions. Better safe than sorry. Besides, pointless having them as ornaments.

Front fog lamps are not tested in the MOT only the rears must work.

I think I have switched mine on twice in 11 yrs, once for fog and the other time to test them after refitting the bumper. ;)

I arrived at heathrow from Australia last night and today took the rangie off SORN and went and started it for the first time since November last year.
Started first turn of the key and the battery had not been on charge so just connected it up and fired first time.
I think there is a bit of a problem with the EAS but its drivable and will be sorted before this years trip across Asia again.

Which bush is it? The one on the radius arm?

Passed its mot no advisories super clean emissions to mot guy commented on how many new parts it's had fitted lol its a land rover I said. Also surprised at the lack of oil n coolant leaks :D:rolleyes:

If it is the petrol then so are we all. Did you steam clean the engine and then drive it around the corner? Even then I'm surprised it didn't leave him a little dribble on his carpets.

Haha yes petrol iv been leak free since I did my valley gasket then redid it when I did my hg and that stopped my coolant leak from pressurisation so still leak free for me

Well emissions are still to high so waiting to get the codes read by the garages diagnostic kit. Hopefully this will tell me what to do next lambdas or cats or something else :(
It gets better headlight adjustment isn't possible as it from a left hand drive vehicle ahhhhh new head light now ordered from eBay.
I am starting to wonder if this thing is worth the hassle the smile I had on my face going to the garage was great but it's turning into a money pit with no sign of being able to use it any time soon.

good luck it should sale through its test. ive been out and the knocking on the shaft is more so now its happening when i slow down and coast at 10mph till i stop. only happens then i cant wait to get under to check. monday. cant think if its u joint or center bearing holding the shaft up or its a diff bearing. it sounds like the shaft is catching up with the engine when slowing. its knocks off and on. ??

Sounds like the roller bearings have dropped out of the u/j, check soon before the yokes are damaged

Mmm, Island 4x4 only list front props complete, £60 for ****part and £330 for OEM + vat. Time to get under and see if you need one. Many manufacturer's props are not designed to allow you to change just the joint these days.
