Sorry, was in deep ****, cut a 6" high pressure water main that should not have been where it was. Flooded my cellars and emptied the local reservoir before they got round to turning it off.

 what you do that for?? Seems abit daft?

All sorted now??

Had a swampy area in the car park for a long time now, was digging a soakaway. As luck would have it, it turns out the bloody pipe was leaking anyway which accounted for the swamp so I didn't get charged with the damage:D

But instead of a swamp you have a lake

Least your sorted! Not too much damage I hope?

Luckily I live in a watermill, all the water ended up in the mill stream:rolleyes: Nothing in the cellar but my supply of winter logs which are now a bit damp:(
No lasting damage thanks:D

Did you ever get that ramp/pit thing built that you were talking about when your gearbox first started playing up. I'm just thinking that whilst they're digging to repair the water pipe . . . . a few bottles of vin ordinaire and a pack or two of Gauloise . . .??

Pit has been finished for a long time now, used it to do the DMF on the Transit and a good few other jobs. Have yet to pluck up the courage to try and drop the P38 box, it's so darn big and heavy even with my double lift transmission jack:)

Poped down to the shops and into local 'rip-off' petrol station. On restarting the engine there was a sort of slight pop but started and ran ok so went home. Whilst opening the garage door heard a metalic tinkling from the rear engine area. Does it in P, R, N but in 1,2,3,D it goes away on idle. Flex plate on the way out !!! darn it and just before Christmas. Ordered a new one from Ashcrofts. Happy days!

Just found out my engine block is FUBAR......time to invest in that top hat linered block...talk about the wrong time of year though :(

So far the rangie has cost me over £2k since i acquired her in March. I recon 4k for the full job. More than i paid in the first place.

^ Bravo

Refitted washer bottle + wiring, coil and vacuum sphere. Smoked a ciggy sitting on the sill.

Did a 200mile round trip. And picked up an oil leak :( rocker covers I think

Averaged 18.2 mpg tho! :D

To Work (as usual), then to Quicks Archery to pick up a new block of bees wax, then home and plugged into the All Comms to find out why the HDC, DSC, EBC, CBC, ABS and EAS warnings popped up again after fitting a new ABS sensor...

Just a plausibility error (means it picked up an odd reading compared to the other sensors.....) could just be a tiny amount of swarf on the Rotor after drilling out the old sensor...cleared fault, warnings gone and after test drive no repeat...!!

Just finished my Xmas present from me to me. The best one - the one you truly wanted.

New; brake accumulator, brake pipes, flexi pipes & brake fluid
to match up with the new calipers, EDC discs & pads already on there.

Now I won't mind when I get a new dressing gown on the 25th.
("Thank you dear, it's just what I wanted.")

left the lights on after ****ing about with it on the drive, luckily after a couple of hours the wife noticed before it flattened it totally so charged it up for a few hours before an 80 mile round trip ,so hopefully no damage done.

Did standard checks on coolant, oil, tyre pressures, etc. Washed the salt off the chassis and tried to find why she won't get hot still. Has a stat that works but still hyper cools the engine. Starting to think the fans are all running at 100% all of the time. :/

Replaced the o-rings and finished putting all the bits and pieces back after recent engine rebuild new liner skimmed heads etc etc running sweet:D also put new tailgate on same colour and age looks perfect as window in old one was bust - 50 quid bargain
