Only the one? Should be done in pairs if they are old.:)

Picked up the Crimbo Tree, took some rubbish to the dump and replaced the ABS Sensor on the otherside to the one I replaced 5/6 months ago - and that one was fitted without the antisieze grease too  so had to be drilled out like the other one!!

Tell me about it - thats the risk you take with Second Hand cars - even ones with Full Dealer Service History too (Checked and Verified with my Local Dealers Computer)....:(

Can anyone recommend a good battery for my rangie?? Iv seen a 1000cca Bosch on ebizle with free postage fer £120ish

How long do they norm last?

Sorry, he must be eating and drinking again - when in France . . .:D

Have a look at Battery Megastore -
Alphaline commercial 130ah 1000CCA £100 4 year warranty.

Who makes the Bosch ones though ?

I'd rather get an extra years warrantee and go for the Bosch one

I have one on my l322 and its great

I had to SORN my rangie this month as I had to go back to Australia for a funeral and a wedding. The last trip was cut short and only did 22000 miles in the 5 months had a few minor problems with it but that wasnt the reason for cutting the trip short'
Hope to be back next year and then do another trip to Mongolia again,

Thought Bosch wer one of the few companies that made everything them selves??

They don't make car batteries just brand them, same for Varta, Fulmen, Exide etc. Probably come from the same factory as Alphaline. Some folks just love to pay extra for a name stamped on the side, Hippo is one example.
Alphaline has a 4 year warranty and is over £20 less expensive for a more powerful battery than the Bosch.:)

Sorry, was in deep ****, cut a 6" high pressure water main that should not have been where it was. Flooded my cellars and emptied the local reservoir before they got round to turning it off.
