Couldn't seem to rid of the Airbag Fault message knowingly.. but... it has gone now so it MUST have been one of the connections,
annoyingly I didn't 'see it' disappear... if that makes sense?? Thanks again to all advice!
MOT picked up on front radius arm bushes and track rod ends.. so hopefully will sort all at the weekend.
We're getting there... until the next time (thing)...
Titch
All done! Used Polybushes on the front radius arms and new track rods with joints.
Got a good 12 month MOT on it now...

Used mine last night, god the leather seats were cold šŸ˜Ÿ and it looks like i still have a dossel leak, too cold to be out there fixing it so it can wait.

Pre heater didn't stay running this morning! Had to sit with the engine running while the screen defrosted.
Pre heater must have only run 5 mins the screen only had peep holes at the bottom.
Battery was fully charged and it worked just fine the other day, same ambient temp
No preheat on my fusion, but I learned ages ago that running it for about 5 minutes while ice scraping, then shutting it down and going inside for 5, come back out and the heat soak in that time gives cabin warmth and demisting better and quicker than trying to drive off at that point.
So prep the car, then warm up inside and get stuff organised, rather than the other way round when it is icy.

Just get the butler to do it, tis what he`s payed for :vb-biggrin:

Took dash & heater out today to sort out heater matrix. Noticed distribution flaps are slightly stiff, although the motor does move them. The gear for the top screen flaps is not turning the shaft properly. Discovered the square slot for the flap shaft is cracked, so although the top flaps move easily, the motor never moves them.

Also took the centre console out to make getting dash out easier. Found lots of previously dropped screws, etc. but at least I can clean around while it's out.

Carpet & underlay propped up to dry out. I have a heater in there at the moment but think of buying a small dehumidifier.

Get a dehumidifier it will collect all the moister where heater just dries one spot and moves it to another

Now my roof lining is out I can see where the water is getting in. There is a small drip coming from behind where the windscreen is bonded in. Iā€™m going to run some black sealer round to close up the channel between the screen and the metal frame.

Expecting to find similar on Otto when we get the lining out. Already have suitable sealant, plus a reel of sticky butyl rubber.

I went for a drive, to the petrol station, mind you the car hasn't moved for over 2 weeks, it was so good to drive again. I like to keep it topped up for my next drive.

The info says it has auto-defrost, but will see. Thought about using the heater to get the damp from the floor into the air, and then dehumidifier to remove it. No idea if that will work or not, but we will see ?

Adding the heater will certainly speed things up.
