Went on first drive today since replacing the headlight washer pump and getting what sounds like amplified road/tyre noise from that wheel.
Pretty sure i put it all back how it should be with nothing missing, what else could it be?
It doesn't sound like the drone I'd call bearing rumble. But could it be? I'm not a fan of coincidence. Increases with speed, not revs etc.
Think it's more like a hole/gap letting road noise into the cabin.. everything looks in place though. It's horrid

So the thing is back together. Only one significant issue really…bought 2xANR1000p bolts for the track and drag links. Anyhoo, one went on and other wouldn’t meaning I had to reuse the old nut. It’s fine for now, but I might just buy new track and drag arms for £79-100. Just to future proof the job. Look nice under there with fresh bushes etc. let’s see what happens at MOT Friday.

I don't know what to suggest other than what you've probably already checked 🙁
No, i really don't get it, all i did was take the wheel off, pull the inner arch away enough to swap the pump on the washer bottle and put back together.
If i pay attention is definitely road noise, i can hear it change when i go over bumps and potholes

Inner arch not back in place correctly?

Got a wider/bigger pic and I will look at ours?

Yes that's the vin number, left hand side, the plastic trim between the screen and the bonnet.. looks like it needs a plastic bung, there's nothing underneath it

Been on a roll having stripped the heads off of the old P38.

Carbon hard as nails and general shít caked on everything..

2hrs work with a plastic scraper, eventually gave up and sat the heads in a bath of solvent cleaner, carbon came right off. :)

New stem seals.

Lapped the valves too, just because.

And the final piece of the puzzle. :)

Looking forward to getting it back together. :)
