Wonder if i could use some silicone grease instead of water on the silicone pad for my rain sensor?
That would make it thicker but not dry out like when i wet it πŸ€”

A couple of weekends ago was invited to join for some localish green laneing. All was well until, after rougher parts, on a flat straight heard the dreaded hissing noise of air escaping... Yup, front right air bag punctured. Luckily, only had to cross 200ish meters to the main road on flat surface.

Was lucky with the recovery service, the chap just started his shift at the nearby village, so was with me within an hour. Garage had it up and running in one day.

The airbag seems to be original, so I reckon not bad for 130k miles.

So, looking at options, once an airbag pops, there is nothing one can do... Was very lucky for it go when it did.

On the P38, the design life is 8 years 80K miles, don't know how long they are supposed to last on the L322 but 130K miles seems to be pushing it.

Replaced a front pair earlier this year on a 2011 car about that number but in KL.
Rears will be replaced in a month or 2.

But our roads are pretty brutally sometimes ;).

Hit 140k yesterday and after a day with the trailer on it suprised me with a present,

High pressure power steering pipe didn't want to be a high pressure pipe anymore, started going drip drip drip

Quick look online was near 200 for a replacement

Used my other car and went to the local hydraulic place, Β£25 for a new pipe bolted back on normal use resumed,

Also actually bothered to try push the dent out in my rear quarter thats been there since February, finger pressure and its 90% better already πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

Went on first drive today since replacing the headlight washer pump and getting what sounds like amplified road/tyre noise from that wheel.
Pretty sure i put it all back how it should be with nothing missing, what else could it be?
It doesn't sound like the drone I'd call bearing rumble. But could it be? I'm not a fan of coincidence. Increases with speed, not revs etc.

They are, hence I try to run chunky tyres, they tend to do most of the work anyway.
