Thought I'd do a basic filters service. Been longer than I care to admit and kinda hoping it'd help with the cutting out at idle. It did not, thinking my refub FIP might be on the way out. Sad times. Really should have my own diag so I could check if it is the issue, but I've only had this car for 12 years, maybe next year. No one round here will touch a P38 and I don't have the tooling to try the job myself.

Had a mild disaster replacing the fuel filter, so went out with some Daz, because according to Google, Daz is great at soaking up diesel and I couldn't leave fuel allover the road.

Someone put an inner tube in at some stage?
I can confirm no inner tube will add some more pics later, both fronts have worn random bits of tread blocks too
the real offending tyre it never looked that bad when i put it on as my spare,

I currently have 6 4.2 supercharged wheels and i was looking for a set of 5.0 supercharged wheels to get refurbished and my new tyres on but this kind of changed and hurried my plans

Not my cup of tea either 😅
Mabye daylight will change my mind but iv not looked at it yet 🤣,
Im personally not a lover of dark wheels on anything, i like fresh silver or even some that are a dark silver or the black and diamond cut but plain dark wheels don't excite me,
Part of what makes us all different though is it

I think hot hatch types carry it off well, red body black wheels etc etc

Getting old, I like standard silver on bigger stuff

Standard alloys for me too, can't stand the black cult, it's awful.. black badges/lettering, black wheels, 'black chrome'(is that even a real thing!?), blacked out/heavily smoked windows on gloss black body. Nope! No siree, not for me, no way!!

Not quite that bad but my bmw tyres went south in a similar fashion. Dark line where it looks like it's been driven flat, but it never had

Those landsails any good? Apart from the cracking 😅 Seem very popular, might have to go cheaper cuz I want my wheels refurbed and trued up same time, prefer pirellis but about 250 a corner

Looking at nexen as well, they seemed ok on my audi

they were ok on the 320i estate
BUT, i'm not entirely sure. I think the stability control gremlins did a lot in the background, plus i'd get thru tyres in 10-12,000 miles

I've got falkens on the l322, couldn't get the generals i wanted but they seem fine, for that i do. Not expensive either

Had Falkens on the Jag for years with no issues. Maybe a tad tail happy in the wet but that's part of the fun.

The puppo felt neglected.

Might be FIP timing. Also worth checking the lift pump is chucking out fuel as per Wammers post in the Technical Archive.
