How does the second turbo work on the 4.4TDV8? Ie how do i know if it actually works? All i know it's is supposed to spool up at around 2400rpm. Should i feel a power increase?
When I had a Jag F-Pace for a courtesy when someone reversed into my x-trail and it was in for repair that was twin turbo'd and I never felt the second one kick in presumably since its already boosting on the one the engine isn't exactly struggling so I reckon it's not going to really feel like massive difference once the second one comes in.

Figured it would be boring! Years ago, had and old beemer with single vanos, it was like lighting the blue touch paper.. scream if you wanna go faster!! But progress made twin vanos.. variable/progressive timing and you didn't feel anything. Apparently it's called progress

If it is refined then you shouldn't notice anything other than an effortless ability to waft along. If it isn't working I reckon you'd hear it. If it isn't refined then it'll slam in like a kick in the nuts and probably parp as it dunps the excess pressure when you back off.

Ah yes, it's a range rover, luxury = boring

Picked up industrial dehumidifier off my brother in law, so gonna chuck that on in a bit to help soak up all that water in the footwells, annoying I can’t get the plenum air foam till late next week so seems a bit pointless to pull apart the front end to seal up and then have to do it all again when that comes, could see a bit of water sitting in the housing for the drivers pollen filter with some rusty screws so gonna do a pick n mix at wilkos with screws so hopefully with get some close enough replacements.

Any ideas what i need to do to stop the reversing sensors from 'seeing' a trailer? Car recognises it's there, get the trailer icon on the dash when indicating.. it's easy to turn off with the button so not a big problem but would be nice if it worked properly

The foam won't stop the water getting in at water will pass through it, is only there to stop leaves etc getting in and clogging the drains, need to identify and fix the leak

If it's a universal Towbar kit it may not. This is what a dedicated electric kit will do but at additional cost. Just have to get on with it keeeerms😜

Ours turns off automatically ;).

The only time it "beeped" at me was when something wasnt working properly. If its a LR fit towbar +electrics then something is cruddy somewhere:oops:.

One of the sensors is poorly, it works but thinks something is there when it's not, the surface is crinkled :( could it be that? Sometimes it works, sometimes it beeps at thin air

Ours is a westfalia too.
I was using 1 of these at the time.

Couldn't find any issues with fuses/relays or plugs.
Swapped it for a spare "double lead" thing and all was fine. As the trailer was old fashioned ;).
Got home from a German filling station with no more issues.
Had a look but cant see what if anything is wrong with that^^^. not used it since though;).

Quite possibly.
wonder if you rubbed off the crinkly bits it would see clearly (now):).

I've decided to upgrade.. my tow mounted cycle carrier is old fashioned, trailer is newer and car is newer.. carrier had been out voted!!
Even when it's 'working' it still complains about the trailer :D
Maybe i need to find some connectors to fix
