guessing the door card doesnt come out without damage.. i can get into the car, just no way to open the drivers door :(

As ^^^ neglect they know how to get their own back;).

Open the passenger door and see whats needed to get the door card off and you will soon be left with 2 choices.

Both include destroying something:(.

What your fobbie no workie;).

Good luck:).

perhaps a silly question.. has anyone actually done the belt on a 4.4 tdv8? i'm struggling to see why you need to take the fan and shroud off.
take the air intake and turbo tubes off, you can reach the tensioner, once the belt is loose, why can't you thread it around between the fan and the shroud? it looks like it should just come off with a bit of struggling

Drove him to and from the BILs to see what his leak on the ceiling is - looks like probably a roof issue. Otto starting fautlessly now, and our daily driver while we wait for the service / MOT / wheelbearing change on the everyday Ford. Where he's been off the dehumidifier for a few days it took around a mile for the speedo to wake up though. That definitely seems to be damp / cold affected. DigiHUD gives us a backup though.

Undo the screws on door card handle etc. with a bit of luck you might be able to reach the latch. Then try manual operation or apply 9-12v to motors to see if it unlocks ? Maybe the connections are bad ? If it’s super locked with failed motors then it’s cut latch bar time.

It's unlocked but the inner and outer handles appear to be disconnected from the opening mechanism
