OK, so the big freeze suddenly turned into the big thaw with condensing water vapour in the air.
I was out a couple of times last week in my P38, on roads that our council helpfully covers in corrosive slime.
So this morning I got the old girl out of the garage and in the cool fresh rain I washed the salt off topsides and underside.
My previous car was a Volvo. I think in 12 years I ran it through the car wash a couple of times.
But now I wash my P38 in the rain. And then take photos.
Obsessive? Or just a P38 owner?

Warm and dry out so thought I'd see why the rear washer isn't working.. can't get the plastic trim off the tailgate, wrist hurts too much :(

Just got back from fixing a burst pipe and beep beep eas slow to 35 bugger, check faults and it says rear r out of range, cleared but it wont rise when commanded and pumps quite warm so will pull it out and have a look at it, i cant remember if i rebuilt it or not this years or just swapped it for another one.

Fink i need to get some side steps so it's easier getting in and out without knackering the seat edge
Im 5ft10 and i dont need them getting out at standard height, just makes it more a faff for me, and if i use them to get in I wallop my head off the roof, i dont particularly like them and would have got them off but the front mudflaps are shaped too suit them

Same height but I short legs.. and standard height I'll slide several inches off the seat before my foot hits the ground :(
