My gut says no... I'll drop the valve unit entirely next Sunday and go through it all. I've got enough info together to go through it thoroughly. Just a tad worried as it is a mega job.

I'd appreciate that Keith, thank you. If could get a full rebuild kit without being ripped for taxes and a sprag clutch I'd rebuild.

Think outside, no box required.
Worth swapping the valvebody off of your other trans to see if there is any change, it sounds to me like a Governor valve or Solenoid issue.

Can't find the manual on my replacement computer, I'll have to go looking on the old XP tomorrow, just hope it's not another one of the files it's eaten.

It's been stood for over ten years and someone at some point has damaged the output shaft to the convertor....

You can swap the front section with the pump.
I'm not kean on the idea that the clutch packs haven't turned in over ten year or so...
I'll drop the block and go through it, then if I find nothing untoward I may do just that.

Buttons are there, but appear to do nothing. Otto is only a 4.0 SE so I assumed it was a 'disabled for plebs' feature that could be turned on with the right software / hardware interface.

ZF is German, you should be able to get the parts from Germany cheaper than from France.

3 in 1 spray, it was just the mechanism stiffening up on mine.
Fecking Nissan Juke drivers. Just run the good lady up to her dads as the roads are quite treacherous with frozen snow and ice. Idiotic Juke driver just pulled out in front of me and another car nearly causing a crash. Fortunately he was the one who went side ways into a side street. Many expletives were thrown his way and pillock replied but I'm in a 4x4 and should be OK..
