I only have 3 selectable options, access, standard and offroad.
P38 has 5 heights ;)

1) Access
2) Motorway
3) Standard
4) Extended
5) Super extended which is only selected by the EAS ECU if the vehicle beaches itself! ;)

I am somewhat confused. I know the/my L322 has:
Access
Motorway
Standard
Extended
And a 'super' Extended that can be accessed by diagnostics.

Is this not basically the same as the P38? Or do you have to manually change to motorway in the P38?
Of the first four , three can be selected on the dial, with motorway happening automatically. I've never tried locking it at that height.

Normally, the p38 will stay at normal height until you reach 50mph then it will drop to motorway after a set period automagically.
With inhibit selected, you can select motorway any time you desire and it will stay there until you select another height of deselect inhibit

I have mine locked in M-Way height because...well.... 20 years old air-suspension bags. ;)
Last service they reported all 4 bags were showing splits.

@gold rover The way I read this is that they are selectable on the P38 but only 3 are selectable on the L322.

So if I read correctly :
L322 and P38 allow manual selection of
Access
Standard
Motorway
Extended
L322 and P38 can use inhibit to stop those four changing.
Which leaves skirts up to her hips, accessed by diagnostics, on both?
Yes? No?

For L322 Access, Standard, Extended (off road) can be selected manually.
Motorway is automatic over 60mph and can then be locked or returned to standard by manual selection above 60mph.
Offroad can't be locked and will return to standard height over 30mph.
Access and standard can be locked but access will cancel and return to standard over 25mph.
Towing: If a trailer electrics are connected the car automatically inhibits height changes and only allows standard height.

There's lot's of other info in the handbook but I can't be arsed typing it all :D
