I'm lucky I just rake gravel over my messes ;)

But how do you wipe?

did u also keep it quiet he could have used a vacuum pump and removed the engine oil that way, lol

Reminds me I must do a full service on my D3 soon, has only done around 100 x miles in the last year but will still do engine , diffs, transfer and filters , including the fuel filter

plus got some 19 rims to replace my 17 but still haven’t decided what tyres to get, want AT that are also snowflake marked , will then leave them on all year round
I'd rather drop the oil, it can drip while the other work is carried out:D

Today I went out early to swap my repaired wheel then all four lights on the EAS switch came on again:rolleyes: fault showed at last as the front left height sensor so,changed it, found the electrical connector full of crap, cleaned it and checked the other three, left rear was barely connected and also full of crap. Went on to grease the propshafts , check the gearbox, transfer box and axles oil levels. May do the engine oil and filter tomorrow weather and tiredness permitting.;) When I parked the Bastid up,the EAS fault had cleared, said very quietly and the volume on the telly high in case it hears me:D:D
Is that the sensors off mine or did they go on other P38?
(Keep it in this thread now ;))

Cheeky,no mate they went on the black one ,I had a spare that was sent in error,;) looking at the wiring it could be possible to fit the ones with the wiring tail on them. depending on how they mount I should have checked when I was under. The posting in error was due to being knackered, didn't mean to do so much.;):D

Let me know if there’s anything in particular you need. Still have some odds n sods lying about. Considering taking/cutting the EAS tank off underneath. Vehicles too far to reinstate now so it’s dead weight really

He’s booked up for ages, good ones always are, so mot is in 2 weeks. Going to use that time and what’s left of my budget to fit new front callipers and slotted discs new pads.

I didn’t mean the Tank - looks pretty weathered but surprising what’s in the suitcase still

I'm very lucky with the guy I have used for years for MOT's if it's possible he fits me in, as long as I'm flexible. A couple of weeks ago he told me to turn up and he'll see what he could do. When I got there I was number six in the queue,I said no problem, it's good to be out of the house. The queue mysteriously evaporated. ;):D

I could go somewhere else to be quicker but he is the PO enjoys seeing how it’s coming along and more than anything i trust him.
He will look over what I’ve done make sure everything is safe, let me know if he spots a future problem and I don’t have to worry about explaining things like ‘no the ABS light isn’t supposed to go off immediately after starting’, ‘no it’s a factory fitted engine’ or ‘FFS four wheel rolling road!’ Like I would with a usual garage

Good MOT testers are worth their weight. Strict but fair, know when something shouldn't pass but that you get it done immediately.

Had that in the past on my bike - wheel bearing dodgy, but I passed a bearing factors on the way home and they knew every time I had sorted it for retest the following day. I was back that afternoon to prove it was done and they weren't being mucked about.
Similar with exhaust blow - mentioned I had a new exhaust at home waiting to go on and was told it was fine when he tested but must have blown on my way home.

Car went into 1st again while driving in D :( think i need to sort it out before i blow the engine up

It was actually 1st, not neutral as i previously thought
