ah yes of course, good ol' bathroom sealant, the staple of any landy repair, how remiss of me!!
actually if i used enough, prolly wouldn't even need screws
Are replacement fittings hard to come by? I had one in the garage I didn't need so sold it on the Bay,a few days after the sale I had a message from Granada asking as if sold and would I send it to Spain.

Ive just noticed that dodgy dealer Ford Mather from impression automotive has now put both his P38's on auction now on ebay instead of having them both for sale at £9995 the greedy ****.
I suspect the bids on them both are fraudulant as no way so many bids will come in such a short time. No reserve so i hope they both go for well below and teach him a lesson. I paid him £6000 for the blue example T200LHE and he is still lying about its history and has not mentioned any of the bodge repairs to the bodywork either.
Best advice is to avoid this seller too. DODGY GREEDY ****. LOL

He also has them both back up for £9995 today too. LOL. Folk seem to be bidding on them but you never can tell for sure if they are false bids or not to entice folk in to bidding thus thinking they are getting a good deal if they win. Dealers eh!!! strange folk.

Need to find a more permanent repair for the broken fixings keeping the lighting console in the headlining :rolleyes:
Maybe aryldite...
Old trick is a bit of copper wire in the thread hole - acts like a rawlplug and provides more grip but soft enough to do no damage.

I've used copydex glue before now as a mixture of gasket sealer and threadlock on cold running bolts.

The P38 light cluster is just a push for so I'm assuming the spring clips have come loose on the cluster housing.

New front tyres arrived. Local tyre fitter put them on for me , wheels balance ,old tyres taken away all labour £15 a wheel. Didn't think that was too bad
Good price per wheel is that mate these days albeit all that would have been included in the price of the tyres mate if you had bought them off him or did it all still work out cheaper for you buying them yourself???

I am Alan, daily on ebay and the other sites he advertises on plus a nice review on his website too. What goes around comes around in my book mate. LOL

* UPDATE*
Looks like he has come unstuck too Alan as T200LHE only sold for £5000 on ebay a few mins ago albeit i know this toss pot dealer will no doubt try and find a way to NOT let the lucky bidder have it for £5000 plus the FREE UK delivery he has offered too. The Red one he has on looks like that's going to dive bomb on him too. LMAO.

Greed always catches up on you in my book and i am chuffed to bits BUT sadly i fear he will negate on the auction winning bidder. It ain't even Tax. M.O.T'd or insured either.
Would be interesting to know if both bidders frequent on here??

Took the Alfa in for its first MOT in two and a half years. I knew it needed two new tires. Failed on tires, headlight alignment and a loose rear drop link. Happy enough with that.
