right ok , i split the transfer box off and cleaned everythin up, checked play against spec in landrover book, all ok, bearings ok , end float of gears ok, checked with feelers and dial test indicator, done the oil seals, new gaskits all round, not a lot of pics of the stripping , but a few of rebuilding , been in and out so not had much time fer photography.
few bits that were stripped off sprayed
fork / thrust bearing
cleaned up and new gaskits
stuck gaskits with grease only as easy to remove for service
fitted
box back together
gaskit on
bottom plate on
top covers and cork gaskits ready to fit
detent springs and balls, inter lockers fitted first
held in with clips bolted on
pto cover
bit more done
transmition brake back plate fitted
should get it finished off by weekend , shame ther wernt more pics of the inside of the gear / t/fer box.
