What's the chances on the above? I'm watching a bath on eBay which is exactly what I'm after at the right price however it's bloody miles away. Couldn't justify travelling to Twickenham in the landy so is anyone driving north that wouldn't mind picking up a bath?

I'm next travelling north on the weekend December 13th - however, I could only get it to Wakefield - it'd be somewhat out of my way to get to Twickers in the first place though. I would have to ask for some fuel money to cover. Also, would it fit in the back of my D90 or would a roof ratchet be needed?

Doubt the seller would hold it for that long for me mate. Plus it would probably have to go on the roof of a 90. Not a problem if I can't get it up here, ill just keep looking. It was just on the offchance that someone was heading north-ish soon

Well if you don't mind paying me a bit of fuel I can go get it and store it on my base, then take it north when I go if you could collect it promptly? I couldn't pick it up until at least next week though due to being on "QRF" all week this week.

Brilliant. I'll let you know if I win the auction. Word of warning though, apparently it's very heavy as its cast iron. Not sure how many people it will need to lift but I doubt it's a one man job.
(just noticed that written in the description lol)

Ok, well my roof rack will take it and I should have sufficient ratchets to load it safely. When does the auction end?

It's alright dude, I got a much nicer one just a few miles away. More than I wanted to spend but it'll do the job perfectly.
Stand down the QRF

Have taken them downstairs ....

WHOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

and upstairs like a turtle ... lol

I smash feck outta em. Makes em easier to shift.. :D

Yeah but it'd be better if you only did that when taking them out

I've had to remove floor and joists to get them into a bathroom before, a case of 'look missus....how much do you really want this bath?'

Yeah on second thoughts the fancy acrylic freestanding jobby I've got seems a much better idea lol. Though I'll definitely be doing the turtle thing.
Cheers for the offer Lara :) much appreciated

Ive seen a few for reasonable prices but I'm not after those. This bath has the taps ready fitted anyway and they look like they cost a bit
