Not a bad price really ... for a full-on 'proper' competition tyre that is!!

;)

Wonder what plod would say if some were fitted to a road-going Landy .. though I doubt they'd last long enough for plod to see them.

I may have to order a set of these in the new year :D
My secret bit of information the other day ;)

I was looking at these at billing this summer, or though they are good.. the tread pattern is not as good as the ol insa turbo in the mud.
and fedima do 37's also!

37 puts me in unlimited for KOV/ KOF which I have no chance of placing in and gives the drivetrain loads more hammer so sticking with 35's

Have you seen the sidewall tread !!!

Thought they were ? As they're speed rated. These are standard compound too not stickys so will last fairly well :)

OK, it might just be the super stickies then, or I'm just plain wrong!

I remember something about the 'comp' Trepador not being road legal when they first came out and the road legal ones being not a great deal better treaded than 'old school' MT tyres so not worth the price tag.

Yeah the road ones arent much better than say kuhmo mt's these are another ball park completely :)

So let's get some pics up for comparison?

I remember a few years ago the trepador was considered an underdog but then with the rise of Ultra4 in the UK is has come to the forefront as a much more suitable high speed tyre than say a Bogger, and obviously with the sticky compound available it lends itself to driving up sheer faces.

But yeah get some pics up cos I'm keen to see the differences and I wouldn't know what I was looking at on Google immediately.

Cheers thanks bye :)

Ok :)

Creepy crawler

The go to for most 35 tyres as theyre a ood all arounder. Good sidewall tread good clearing propeties, wear well and good in mud but not brilliant at anything. They also tend to grow ... so a 35 will become 36 afyer comp use

Super swamper bogger

Still the best for ploughing through deep mud. But crap on side slopes and at speed

Trepador

Very good in mud and clean very well due to directional pattern, plus MASSIVE sode tread for the deep stuff and abit of left right action.

Best extreme tyre at speed, good on rocks, strong build.

Then theres comp sticky and comp normal. The sticky is very very good, incredibly grippy ... but they wear out in a season of ultra 4.

The non stickys are exactly the same design but a more standard compoud such as youd find in the creepy crawlers so last as well as any extreme tyre.

So the trep is the one for me as it does everything well, lasts well, is the right size, and fits my wheels. :)

Standard trep

Comp trep

Massive difference

The aussies have been using comp treps for at least 5 years. And absolutely love them.
