Nice one for the post Jimbo

Are the comp treps a reasonably new idea?

Cos I remembef the normal trep being nothing special but never heard of a comp version

But yeah for sure, it's an excellent tyre

I think the sticky version is for racers that can afford it, the normal is fine for everyone else

You only need the sticky tyres when you have a sufficient horsepower to make proper use of them imo!

Making space

Base plate

Couple of gussets going In, plating the inside of the chassis and abit more strenthening to do mount should be done tomorrow :)

Haha cheers mate. This is what working 100 hour weeks in the outback gets you :)

Turned for pegging, but I ordered everything through gigglepin so came via them :)

Axles have been shotblasted but I don't think ill get them on before sunday ill just make a proper job of the winch :).

'tis weird I was on Ashcroft's website the other day and they're showing locker as out of stock
So do you have to buy though an agent now.
Was just adding up what it'd cost to get axles as I want, hmm, might be a while yet

Yeah I saw that on the website but when I ordered through gigglepin they had them at ashcroft ?? But jo you dont have to go through an agent.

Getting there :)

Fully welded and finished :D

Not my best but pretty good for 11pm haha :D

Top view showing the gussets

Whole thing is made from 10mm plate so plenty strong enough :) plated all the way under the chassis and welded on both sides of the leg, then another plate on the inside of each leg and welded to the leg and base plate, the front plate is wrapped around the legs and seamed on both sides and gusseted to the base plate.

For saying some people just use a winch bumper with 6 bolts. This with all welded construction and 12 bolts should be more than exemplary :)

All painted too :)

Plumbing and wiring tomorrow then play !!! :D
