Apart from when I changed the front radius arms and did some welding I can't remember the last time I took a hammer to itEven I've got more than that.
Don't know how to use them though
Poof!
A cranked fan spanner hooked on one of the pulley bolts and levered over the socket works as well
Is it much different to a Td5?To undo the dog nut on a 300tdi crank?
Cheers

Edit- you do need a scaff bar over the spanner...
Well... no... I used the 'breaker bar on the chassis and turn the engine over' method. But I tightened it up with a fan spanner/scaff bar/breaker/ 2 of us pulling like the hulk on each side, in the absence of a torque wrench. When we did get hold of one later, it was at about 440NM...So you undone a 460Nm bolt using a fan spanner?.
Cheers
