After putting off all the jobs that needed doing for the mot like any normal mechanic does, I finally pulled my finger out and spent a few very late nights after my normal 12 hour shift and finally got it all done, my list included, front wheel bearings , axle steering joints both sides , axle to chassis bushes, abs sensor and damaged abs rings, transfer case viscous coupling, propshaft rubber coupling, airbag wiring and a few other little jobs.

About 20 hours of labour went into it but what a change it drives so much better and even managed not get a clean sheet on the mot ;)

Wow, good job! Thanks for sharing think (that is quite motivating) I am at a similiar point but my list is different: EAS to sort out, FIP to change, ABS? and a bit of paint. Trouble is I am stuck on the drive. How are the springs?

I know there is a lot of people that don't like spring converted p38's but it certainly doesn't feel uncomfortable imho and certainly one less thing to go wrong

With your experience the system on the P38 will be child's play.;)
I dare say that I could figure out why mine was on springs when I got it and put it back to original but with the other bits I done I would need to figure out how to keep it the height it's at now or make it taller again which then becomes rather cost and labour intensive
