Got this from my veg forum,Tesco's are doing sunflower oil for 28p per litre-limited to 12 lts buying online-but no limit on going to store-offer meant to be on until 13th june-and yes sunflower oil is fine in yer disco-fill yer boots boys

I've got guys that have bought it at that price(28p per litre) this w'end, but be quick in case its another mistake like the beer and they correct it

Never haven used sunflower oil before, what amount would you use in a 95 litre tank and do you just pour it straight in??

Use neat or 70:30 or 80:20 ....veg:derv-as it is new oil ,no filtering needed, pour straight in,or better premix outside tank with derv .then pour mix in

wats does the td5 run like on it??i no im going to get **** for this question but been reading other posts and they have just confussed me

my disco 2 seems to be running fine on it no problems yet ....but i am running more diesel than oil ..but im going to go upto 50/50 and maybe higher .......

Yes you can but I'm not 100% sure about the pros and cons of sunflower oil. Most use rapeseed oil. (usually branded as just "vegetable oil"). Because vegetable oil is thicker (viscosity) than diesel, most mix it with normal diesel. Typically anything up to 50% during the warmer months.

One thing I don't like is filling up in car parks. I always get people making funny remarks or showing signs of interest as if they've never heard of it before.

my disco almost ran out of fuel other week, it was a few days before pay day so was trying to get most out of what was in tank. so was only a tiny bit in it as it didnt wanna start on a hill lol. anyway asda ha veg oil on offer at 98p a litre so i baught around 15 litres of it and put it straight in out the bottle. it ran fine with no starting issues, really did smell though

Anyone actually bought any oil for 28p,I have checked the BBC news site and no riots reported at Tesco yet!

Just been down to Stockport and there was 42 bottles on shelf. I took the lot . They scanned at 28p :) The guy asked if I cooked alot :D. I then went to two other local Tesco but it was a wipe out :( I could drive round all day and find more empty shelves so I,ll just be pleasedl I got some. Ive ordered 12 online but there is a delivery charge of 3 pounds. Good luck to you if you go looking ,bargains like that dont last long.

Only 13 bottles on the shelf marked as £1.56 took 12 to checkout and 28p each could of done with a few 100 !!!!
