Tesco @ Stafford have the 3l bottles still in their 6 pack bulk cardboard boxes right at the entrance, spotty teenager from the customer services desk helped me wheel out the second trolley full

Something worth noting guys if you get a lot of oil-it keeps fine out of the sun-but beware of RATS ,they will chew thru the boxes and containers,to get at the oil-you have been warned.I lost over a 100 lts of bio to the bastards, when I stored it in the garage-I now keep it in a metal shed on a concrete raft, with no rodent holes,so now that is sorted, but the rats are currently tunneling under the concrete trying to find a way in-I pour water in the tunnels to **** them off.

Any good at fixing broken Landy Stuff ? If so can I add you to my list of people just too far away to help when the inevitable thingys break and fall off.

Am I right in thinking that as long as you mix it with diesel the 300tdi can run on veg oil without being adapted in any way?

yes

the ratio of veg oil to derv can vary vehicle to vehicle and also on the temp.

Be prepared to change the fuel filter within the first 500-1000 miles too. Some people have had to do this as the veg oil can clean the fuel system and this crud can then block the filter. I never had this problem when I was using veg though.

See if Tesco's will start stocking Landy fuel filters -be a one stop fuel shop

So only managed to get 48 bottles but it's still 90 odd quid saved :clap2:

Now to use it, I have still got about a quarter of a tank of diesel left will it be ok to pour straight/neat into the tank and let it mix or does it need premixing say 70/30 oil/derv ?

There's no need to pre-mix. Just sling em straight in the tank.

stick 10 of em in for now. It's easier to start with a lower amount and then increase it gradually until you find a ratio you are happy with. If you find you have any problems after putting 10 in you'll still have room to add more diesel to dilute it. If all is well then add a couple more.

Ta, feels like sticking two fingers up the the big man when saving money like this. You ain't the ratty of the Miniforum are ya ?
