Newbie here, just bought a 2001 td5 defender. Already feel at home with rotten door bottoms, a saggy headlining and immobiliser problems. I may be a regular! Best repair and service guys around here? Let me know recommendations. Thanks, T

Ive used Dunsfold Land Rover several times before and they've always been very good, they give you a curtesy car if you can't stay and wait for them, they don't charge through the roof, and they're very knowledgable and friendly :)

Hi, Welcome to the site :)

First thing I would suggest is that you change your location to your thread title perhaps. You don't want your new toy not to be there one morning do you. So be less specific in your location. I'm sure 'ohitsher' will testify to this sadly.

As for local service guys, it depends what you are looking for. I have recently used More 4x4 at Kingsley (between Bordon and Alton) as they are convenient for my work location. Not too expensive either. Best thing to do is try and do things yourself you'll be surprised how easy it is once you have found the fault / solution on LZ.

Will no doubt see you around at some point and will gladly go laning if you like, not done many myself but I know a few local ones which will suit a newbie (apologies if I'm being presumptious here).

Welcome to th loonyzone :welcome2:

I agree with the advice ^^^^^^^^^^^^, no point in asking for trouble!

I know a few people have dealt with Dunsfold, always heard really good things about them! :)

Hopefully you'll be out and about soon then.

Keep an eye on the 'Laning' section as there is a couple of local threads that may be of interest. There was also talk on Saturday after our 'treasure hunt' that a 'newbie' excursion could be the next day organised.
